Processing runs in your browser. Local files are not uploaded to a ResizeNest processing server. With URL import, your browser connects directly to the source website; ResizeNest does not relay the file. Direct URL import works only when the source website allows cross-origin reading.

Drop JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF hereor paste an image. Crop coordinates are source-image pixels after orientation.

Private by design

image processing stays in your browser. ResizeNest does not need your original image uploaded to an application server.

Real output

Results come from the actual processing pipeline, with measured dimensions, bytes and format instead of placeholder estimates.

Simple workflow

Process one image or a local batch, then download current successful results.

Three simple steps

How to use crop images

  1. 01

Choose, drop or paste one or more JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF images.

  2. 02

Move or resize the crop box, use a ratio preset, or enter X, Y, width and height in source-image pixels.

  3. 03

Process the current crop, review the real output dimensions, then download one result or current successful results as a ZIP.

Useful details

Built for a clear, predictable result

Understand what the tool does before you download the result.

01

Pixel-accurate crop coordinates

X, Y, width and height refer to the displayed source image after orientation. Zoom and viewport changes affect only the editor view, not the committed crop rectangle.

02

Accessible crop controls

Use pointer or touch handles, numeric fields, ratio presets, or arrow keys. Arrow keys move by one source pixel and Shift plus an arrow moves by ten pixels.

03

Explicit batch policies

Per-file crop is the default. Fixed-pixel mode applies the same rectangle and reports files that are too small. Relative mode scales the selected rectangle by each image dimensions.

04

Output format and transparency

Same as input keeps the source format while applying the crop. PNG output stays lossless and alpha-capable formats can preserve transparent pixels; JPEG output is opaque and uses its selected quality. Crop changes the canvas bounds only and does not resize the selected pixels.

05

Local results and export

The shared browser worker performs the real crop without a hidden resize step. Only current successful results are downloadable or included in the ZIP, and changing the crop makes an older result stale.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping resize the image?

No. Crop keeps only the selected pixel rectangle. It does not resample that rectangle to a different size.

What happens with rotated JPEG photos?

Crop coordinates are defined after orientation, so the editor dimensions and the worker crop refer to the same displayed image space.

Can I use the same crop on several images?

Yes, but only explicitly. Choose fixed pixels for the exact same rectangle or relative mode to scale position and size to each image. Per-file selection remains the default.

Does editing the crop change the URL?

No. Selection, processing, undo, results and downloads all stay on /crop-image.
