Processing runs in your browser. Local files are not uploaded to a ResizeNest processing server. With URL import, your browser connects directly to the source website; ResizeNest does not relay the file. Direct URL import works only when the source website allows cross-origin reading.

Private by design

This document workflow is browser-local and has no server conversion fallback. Processing starts only when its local runtime requirements are satisfied.

Truthful capability

The workspace exposes what the local browser can actually do and reports a blocked runtime explicitly instead of pretending a conversion succeeded.

Simple workflow

A focused single-image workspace keeps the controls clear and the result easy to verify.

Useful details

Built for a clear, predictable result

Understand what the tool does before you download the result.

01

Editable text, not a screenshot

ResizeNest writes recognized text into real DOCX paragraphs so you can edit it in Word-compatible software.

02

Truthful OCR scope

The route offers OCR models aligned with the 22 supported site languages. OCR language is selected separately from UI language, and the tool does not claim pixel-identical reconstruction of fonts, tables, columns or the original image layout.

03

Self-hosted local runtime

Tesseract worker, core and language data are shipped as same-origin assets. Only the selected language model is fetched for OCR, and the selected image is processed in the browser rather than sent to a ResizeNest OCR server.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Is the Word file editable?

Yes. The DOCX contains editable paragraph text produced from the OCR result, which you can also correct before downloading.

Will the DOCX look exactly like the image?

No. This route prioritizes editable OCR text and does not promise source-layout, font or table reconstruction.

Does ResizeNest upload the image for OCR?

No. The OCR worker, language data and DOCX creation run locally in the browser.
